History

ASMO Czech s.r.o. (abbreviated ACZ) was founded as a subsidiary of Japanese company ASMO CO. Ltd. Operation started at temporary office at Zručský Dvůr. Greenfield land was purchased and the foundation stone laying ceremony was held at the factory construction site.

Unveiling of the foundation stone and planting a memorial tree on the occasion of the completion of the construction. First employees were recruited and joined the company. The production started and first products were shipped to the customer. Production started on Wiper system project for Toyota (Yaris), Power Window (Toyota EU models), Engine Throttle Control (ETC/several customers) and assembly of several types of Blower motor (Toyota and Honda).

Start of the quality certification process according to ISO/TS standards. Introduction of bus service for employees from Ledeč nad Sázavou, stabilization and transfer of Wiper systems assembly for Suzuki (MSC, project Swift) from Japan.

Successful certification according to ISO/TS 16949 standard. Termination of in-house production of ETC motors and preparation of production area for new project (new customer GM - Wiper system for Opel Insignia and SAAB 9-5).

Unveiling of memorial stone on the occasion of receiving ISO/TS quality certificate, Czech team won the silver medal at international competition of Quality Circles which took place at ASMO Japan, President of Japanese ASMO Co. Ltd. visited Czech branch and met the Mayor of Zruč town. Received ISO 14001 certificate. New projects: Wiper system for Suzuki SX-4, expansion of PW production by 3rd assembly line.

ASMO Czech, as a member of Denso Europe group received Toyota Motors Europe award for exceptional supplier quality. Special Health and Safety and Fire protection training organized in ASMO Czech with EU funds support. Employees’ headcount exceeded 200 people.

New web page for improving communication with supplier, customers and general public launched. As member of DENSO group received „Supplier of the Year“ award from Suzuki.

President of Japanese company and CEO of global corporation Mr. Oya accompanied by other top managers visited our factory. We introduced new stock control system DCI from Czech company AIMTEC. Japan was heavily hit by the strongest earthquake and subsequent tsunami in the history, fortunately there was no direct impact on our parent company, nevertheless the problems caused by this catastrophe marked most of 2011.

Installation of new assembly line for Wiper systems. Construction of empty packaging warehouse („Tent“). We co-hosted PKM (Production Kaizen Meeting) meeting of top managers DENSO EU group. New customer BMW – Wiper system for Mini and JLR – Wiper system for Ranger Rover. Winning GM supplier excellence award for OPEL Insignia project deliveries. 10 million units milestone reached for Power Window motors production.

EPS (Engine Power Steering) line installation for Toyota projects. Ford Mondeo Blower motor project was postponed due to the project delay by customer. As a result of new projects the company turnover doubled compared to the average of previous years. Winning GM supplier excellence award for OPEL Insignia project.

Launch of EPS project production, Wiper system for TPCA (Rear Wiper Motor) and Blower motor for Ford. Winning GM supplier excellence award for OPEL Insignia project.

ASMO joined local elementary school’s Technical Circle program, 10 years anniversary Family Day was held for the employees and their families. Participated at sport competition organized by Zruč town for leading local companies. First time participated at The International Engineering Fair (Mezinárodní strojírenský veletrh) in Brno, where the company presented its production together with other major companies from all over the world.

We supported local elementary school students in realization of their school project „Living Company“. New warehouse construction started. Construction officially began by the foundation stone ceremony Oct 3rd 2016. We won JLRQ quality award from JLR, the certification was directly presented by the customer representative in our factory.

New warehouse construction finished. New warehouse with area 2600m2 began operating on Aug 1st 2017 as receiving warehouse with capacity almost 4000 pallets. We won Toyota Motor Europe award for supply and service. 20 million units milestone reached for Power Window motors production.

Support of Zruč elementary school Technical Circle. Organized QA NET training. We attended meeting of trainers of Japanese companies Czech Republic in Koito Czech.

ASMO merger into DENSO group took place since Apr 1st 2019, culminating for us by company name official change to DENSO Czech s.r.o. since Oct 1st 2019. The change also brought a new strategic plan for the company, with more focus on warehouse and logistics. Our representative participated in European QCC competition in DENSO factory at Liberec. Successful certification according to ISO 50001:2018 standard (Energy system management).

Creation of „Saikyo Warehouse“ concept to build and efficient and the best warehouse logistic solution in our company, the approval of investment for future extension of this area. 10 million units milestone reached for Wiper system production. Gradual discontinuation of production of Blower motor projects (total production 9 344 967 motors since 2005) and Power Window motor (total production 24 172 362 motor since 2005). New logistics and warehouse activities taken over from external warehouses, delivery to new customers (VW, Porsche, Audi) started since August 2020.

Construction of new warehouse with area 8000m2 officially started by tapping on bearing pillar ceremony on Jul 13th 2021. Continuation of the creation „Saikyo Warehouse“ and takeover of warehouse and logistic from external warehouses activities, for Italian customers and Toyota group.
